DC Central Kitchen is one of America's leading nonprofit organizations and a social enterprise pioneer. Working here will put you on the front lines of the war on poverty and the cutting edge of new solutions to old problems. We are known for our fast-paced work environment, audacious risk-taking, and fearless rejection of doing things a certain way, simply because that's how they've always been done.

DCCK is proud to call itself a business—it's just that we're in the business of changing lives. Our success is made possible by the bold women and men who work here every day, tearing down myths and shattering stereotypes. Whether they're preparing a scratch-cooked meal in a low-income school, delivering healthy food to corner stores, leading volunteers in the preparation of 5,000 balanced dishes in a single afternoon, or sharing our successes on social media, our staff is united by a common mission of using food as a tool to strengthen bodies, empower minds, and build communities. Management Non-mgt

Community Development Coordinator (Washington, DC)

The Campus Kitchens Project, a program of DC Central Kitchen, seeks a Community Development Coordinator to join our team. The Campus Kitchens Project is a national nonprofit that empowers students to create innovative and sustainable solutions to hunger. On many university and high school campuses across the country, students transform unused food from dining halls, grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers' markets into meals that are delivered to local agencies serving those in need. By taking the initiative to run a community kitchen, students develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills, along with a commitment to serve their community, that they will carry with them into future careers. Each Campus Kitchen goes beyond meals by using food as a tool to promote poverty solutions, implement garden initiatives, participate in nutrition education, and convene food policy events. We operate under the umbrella of DC Central Kitchen, which is widely regarded as one of the top ten social enterprises in the world. Together we are driving innovation in support of sustainable food and hunger relief.
