Shelterhouse is a community of residents, staff and volunteers working together to provide basic human services
for the men and women of the Greater Cincinnati area who are experiencing homelessness. The Accountant is
responsible for the integrity of the accounting data, maintaining the chart of accounts, overseeing the grant
invoicing process, ensuring federal government grant compliance, and provides senior management with the
financial information required to make informed decisions.
Essential Job Duties
Prepares and serves meals to 200+ residents according to meal schedule created by the Executive Chef
Ensures the kitchen area remains clean per Shelterhouse standards
Responsible for making sure all three meals served at Shelterhouse are done so in an efficient manner, and will be required to work with Resident Aides during this time
Keep and store accurate documentation of temperature and menu track logs
Ensure items are being rotated and labeled as they come in
Restock kitchen and prep meals for subsequent shifts
