We're a national adventure and retail operation - locations from Maine to Florida but mostly based on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. If it's fun to do on the Outer Banks, we do it. Kitty Hawk Kites is the world's largest and oldest Hang Gliding School and now features a Kite Boarding School and Resort, Kayaking tours and much more! We were voted one of National Geographic Adventure Magazine's Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth in 2007. Responsible customer service oriented person to manage all aspects of the retail store to ensure our commitment to excellence.
This position is responsible for great customer service. Excellent socialization skills are a must. Ability to learn tasks quickly and accurately is key. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time is required.
This position is responsible for all aspects of marketing within Kitty Hawk Kites, Inc and its subsidiaries (including but not limited to, Kitty Hawk Kites, Kitty Hawk Surf Company, Life is Good Stores, Morningside and Jockey's Ridge Hang Gliding Schools, Good Winds Restaurant, and Waves Village LLC). The person in this position will need to be dependable, organized, a leader, and able to handle stressful environments. This person must have a thorough knowledge of advertising principals, metrics, and mediums and be an expert in public relations strategies and methods. Strong communication skills and initiative are also critical. Must have demonstrated excellent writing skills through news releases, feature stories and copy writing. Multiple writing samples are a must. Must show experience in and understand in social media.
