LCS is looking for a motivated, creative and passionate individual to support adults with disabilities. LCS wants a dedicated person who demonstrates a high degree of patience, reliability and sensitivity toward others to work in our Day Service's program.

This job requires hands-on interaction such as, supervision, teaching of daily living skills, volunteering in the community, and some personal cares. This position requires implementation of behavior intervention strategies. This position will provide assistance in the coordination of services including carrying out activities and training while volunteering in the community. This position requires a team effort to ensure all participants are actively participating in daily activities, planning, executing and finding volunteer activities or opportunities in the community.

This past year a group went out and did adaptive waterskiing, how fun!!

We are seeking an Employment Specialist to join our team! The primary role is to identify and develop employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities that are appropriate to their skills, aptitudes, and interests, and to facilitate success in the workplace. Employment Specialists develop and maintain ongoing relationships with employers and DVR Counselors, or other Agency case managers, as well as collaborate with other community service organizations to fully serve the participants with the ultimate goal of achieving employment.
Wages can be negotiated based on experience and education.
Must have 2 years' experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Must have valid driver's license and car insurance.

In this role the individual must actively develop and market work experiences, job shadowing opportunities, and permanent employment in the community for individuals with disabilities.
Work side by side with the individual at their job site to ensure it is broken down into manageable components.
Identify and help solve problems before they become a crisis for the individual, employer, or co-workers.
Develop and maintain a database of active and potential employers. Assist individuals in job searches, securing and retaining employment, counseling and guidance regarding career awareness.
This candidate must prepare Individual Rehabilitation Plans and goals, case notes and complete all progress reports. The Employment Specialist must also conduct classes in job seeking skills and work ethics training as needed.
