The Employment Program Manger provides leadership and development to the Employment Specialists and Community Support Coaches to ensure employment services are meeting or exceeding established outcomes. This position keeps current on trends and actively establishes sound relationships with DVR (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation) and community agencies.
The primary role of the Job Coach is to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities to help them be successful in their jobs. This person has the responsibility of teaching the skills necessary for each individual to perform the job successfully. The Job Coach must also provide encouragement and support as you build up the person's self-confidence.
The Job Coach will be required to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with employers, CCO Care Managers, DVR Counselors, or other Agency Case Managers to fully serve the participants with an ultimate goal of achieving and maintaining community employment.
Successful candidates will proactively mentor, support and supervise participants while on their jobs.
The Job Coach must demonstrate a high degree of patience, reliability and sensitivity.
This position provides additional support to colleagues in the Community Services Department.
The Job Coach is responsible for documenting case notes, preparing resumes, and goal setting.
