The CNC Set-Up Operator sets-up and operates CNC lathes and machining centers; edits programs; programming ability is a plus. Experience with CNC controls and instrumentation to monitor progress and determine actions.
The Manual Machinist prepares, maintains and operates assigned lathes and mills to produce precision machined parts with tight tolerances; sets-up equipment to production specifications, blueprints and written work instructions.
The Manual Lathe Operator prepares, maintains and operates assigned lathes to produce precision machined parts with tight tolerances; sets-up equipment to production specifications, blueprints and written work instructions.
Manufacturing operators include press operators, furnace operators and centerless grinding operators. The Press Operator sets up hydraulic presses, weighs powder and presses parts in accordance with instructions on the production document. Maintains a clean, well organized work area.
The Furnace Operator prepares parts for furnace, checks and adjusts furnaces to produce parts in accordance with instructions on the production document and prepares parts for the next operation.
The Centerless Grinder Operator prepares, operates and maintain grinding equipment to grind parts in accordance with instructions on the production document and prepares parts for the next operation.
Applies metallurgical concepts to design, control and improve sintering and other powder metal manufacturing processes.
The UTILITY ASSOCIATE safely and efficiently operates grinder, tumbler, straightener, and saws to produce parts in accordance with instructions on the production document. Maintains a clean, well organized work area. Uses precision measuring instruments to check dimensions of parts to assure finished parts conform to specifications.
