Incorporated in 1992 and wholly owned by Albertan’s, Alberta Environmental Rubber Products (AERP) is Alberta’s largest scrap tire recycling company. AERP has been converting scrap tires, using cutting edge technology, into materials that are used in everything from playgrounds, roofing products and athletic tracks. Our state-of-the-art processing plant in northwest Edmonton produces a variety of high-quality rubber products from shred to rubber crumb. We are currently seeking a highly experienced, mechanically inclined Welder to join our Maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to perform various welding techniques
Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, and grinding
Timely troubleshooting and repair of equipment with minimal supervision
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Other projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor

Core Competencies:

Mechanically inclined with proven equipment repair experience
Ability to work safety and maintain a safe working environment
Problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
A motivated, reliable, and punctual self-starter
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience of 10+ years
Journeyman certification is an asset, but not required
Strong verbal/written communication skills
