We are currently seeking a mechanically inclined Grinding Room Technician to join our Maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blade sharpening for 3 different machine types by loading, aligning, and monitoring a jig.
- Maintain strict quality standards.
- Perform scheduled/assigned equipment cleaning, service, and maintenance.
- Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments and Equipment Pre-Use documents.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with the Maintenance staff to prioritize equipment needs and repair.
- Immediately report any concerns or issues directly to Supervisor.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform any general labor duties as required to meet operational objectives.
Core Competencies
- Mechanically inclined and skilled in use of standard hand tools.
- Experience using precise measurement tools e.g. verniers and depth gauges.
- Quick to learn with the ability to follow instructions and seek clarity when unsure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and meet objectives/deliverables.
- High standards for work, meticulous, with great attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Education/Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience operating machine tools; lathes, milling machine, CNC, surface grinders… etc, ideally in a Manufacturing/Production setting
