JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY: Monitors the safety and security of the residents and guests of The Bailey S. Cavachon Foundation and Condominiums while demonstrating a strong commitment to the guest experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Exemplifies commitment to The Bailey S. Cavachon Foundation's mission of Total Guest Satisfaction
- Maintains positive guest relations at all times; anticipates guests' needs, responds promptly, and works in conjunction all other departments to deliver a positive guest experience while safe guarding hotel and guest property
- Resolves and addresses guest concerns and issues proactively and with grace, diplomacy, and discretion; and leads others to do the same
- Patrols assigned areas ensuring the security and safety of owners, guests and their property
- Mans the Security Control Station as assigned
- Assists with review of closed circuit camera footage
- Dispenses first aid as required and logs all first aid cases
- Responds to and reports all incidents involving injury to employees, owners, guests or visitors, or to hotel property
- Works with representatives of guests and hotel employees to anticipate and address additional security needs for special events and guests
- Assists with the supervision of large events, banquets, etc. as directed
- Reports to work at the scheduled time, well groomed and in the correct uniform
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required AND three (3) years experience as a Security Officer in a multi-unit luxury property; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with high profile and high net worth individuals is a plus.
ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of safety and security equipment, utensils and procedures
- Knowledge and skill in how to diffuse potentially difficult situations
- Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules
- Intermediate skill using computer, surveillance and communication systems
- Excellent guest and employee relations skills
- Reputation for handling situations and confidential information discretely, projecting a positive, professional and supportive outward image and exercising good judgment for the position
- Strong familiarity with how to effectively deal with situations involving the use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and weapons
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Compliance with uniform, appearance and attendance guidelines as outlined in The Setai Employee Handbook
- Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- Valid Florida Security license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
- Able to travel between all locations within the hotel property in a timely fashion
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
