Position: Maintenance Planner
Location: Lugoff, SC
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $22 - $25 (DOE)
Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Primary Function
Maintenance planners are responsible for ensuring that the right resources and materials are available to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. They must be organized, have excellent communication skills, and understand preventive maintenance techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Understand what needs to be ordered, and what spares are available within the facility.
- Material Code creation in SAP
- Material Code Extension in SAP
- Knowing how to look up parts using MM60 efficiently, and what parts may be called in other cultures (For example, a wrench in America, is considered a Spanner in India) in SAP
- Having a good understanding of the part you’re researching, relays, switches, fuses, drives, gearboxes, etc.
- Knowing what you’re responsible for as far as ordering. Maintenance items, spares, and services.
- Know and understand the difference between a material purchase order or a service purchase order.
- Knowing when POs need GRNs, understanding when they need service entries, and the differences between the t00. Also, how to get a GRN completed and who to contact.
- How to utilize SAP to research POs to see the status alongside verifying if GRN and service entries are completed.
- Knowing how to correctly assemble a purchase requisition, ensuring all entries are correct including the material code, vendor ID, vendor material details, valuations, and quantities, and allocating them to the correct SAC code, cost center, GL accounts, etc.
- Prioritizing your work. What is more important and when to put something aside to accomplish another task?
- Understanding which vendors can provide which services and/or parts.
- Completing service entries when invoiced. Knowing when a service entry is required, and ensuring all invoices and service entries get to accounts payable in an accurate and timely manner.
- Keeping good records of what you order, when it was ordered, who it was ordered from, and the order status. Maintaining an accurate SES and Invoice data sheet. (Google Share Drive)
- Keep the tool room stocked and organized.
- Establishing and maintaining a good relationship with all vendor groups.
- Having the ability to multi-task and work on different tasks simultaneously.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Maintenance purchasing experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend (i.e., the language of all plant directives) for required document control, equipment operation, and supervisor/peer instructions.
- Must perform simple mathematics conversations.
- Understanding and ability to utilize Excel, Word, and SAP
