Position Summary
Heavy-duty hand assembly of firearms.
Job Duties
- Using hand tools
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Forming and fitting components together
- Lifting completed product and loading inventory
- Checking quality of assembled items for tolerances and specs
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Experience Requirements
Previous assembly experience.
Skills and Competencies

- Practical understanding of workplace 5S and Lean manufacturing principles with the ability to lead rapid improvement events.
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering blueprints.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Able to work well in a team environment and group problem solving situations.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures observe safety and security procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Ability to multitask and perform different duties throughout the shift.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to adjust and maintain production flow.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Knowledge of basic measuring.
- Ability to test equipment.
Working Conditions
Typical manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises and dangerous chemicals and machinery. Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds unassisted.
