Overview

The Insulation Superintendent is responsible for managing field crews, overseeing day-to-day operations on insulation job sites, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification. This role requires a hands-on leader with in-depth knowledge of insulation systems, materials, and best practices in both commercial and industrial environments.

Essential Functions

• Oversee and manage all field activities for insulation projects
• Supervise and coordinate insulation crews and subcontractors
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications
• Conduct site inspections and monitor work quality and progress
• Manage material deliveries, equipment, and tools needed on site
• Collaborate with Project Managers to align on scheduling and labor needs
• Maintain daily logs, timekeeping, and jobsite reports
• Communicate effectively with clients, general contractors, and internal teams
• Lead safety meetings and enforce site safety protocols

Working Conditions

• Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard, and shop locations.
• Working indoors in an office environment
• Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary.
• Frequent travel as required

Education & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial insulation
• Prior supervisory or foreman experience required
• Strong knowledge of insulation systems (pipe, duct, equipment), materials (fiberglass, foam, mineral wool, etc.), and installation techniques
• Proven leadership and crew management skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work plans
• Strong focus on jobsite safety and quality control
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
