Job Description:

Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Long-Term Substitute Teacher for our 1st-grade classroom. This position has become available due to the need for our current 1st-grade teacher to take a medical leave of absence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children, a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment, and the ability to seamlessly integrate into our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver the established 1st-grade curriculum in a dynamic and engaging manner.
Maintain a structured, yet nurturing classroom environment that supports the individual needs of each student.
Provide clear instruction in core subjects, including Reading, Writing, Math, Religion, Science, and Social Studies.
Assess student progress, provide feedback, and communicate regularly with parents and administration.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a consistent and cohesive educational experience for students.
Uphold the values and mission of Christ the King Catholic School in all interactions with students, parents, and staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
Valid teaching certification (preferably in elementary education) is also preferred.
Previous experience teaching or substituting at the elementary level is helpful.
Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A commitment to the Catholic faith and willingness to incorporate it into the daily classroom experience.
