Director of Sports Ministry- School (Non-Exempt/Hourly)
Part-Time Position: Average 29 hours per week during the school year and up to 20 hours per week during the summer. Most hours are scheduled during the school year; weekly schedule will have some night and weekend hours during home games. The hours scheduled each week during the summer break will vary and be determined by the administration based on need.
Reports To: The School Principal/Assistant Principal/Dean of Students
Qualifications: The Athletic Director at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School will coordinate and manage all sports activities that are part of the school's athletic program in a manner consistent with our Catholic faith and the school's mission and vision statements.
The ideal candidate should:
• Have previous experience managing athletic events/activities.
• Have proven computer usage and experience with Powerschool, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, CMG (Catholic Mututal) is desirable.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism; flexibility and confidentiality required.
• Be able to deal successfully with a variety of individuals.
• Be able to develop positive relationships with administration, teachers, students, and parents.
• Be flexible to handle multiple tasks in a composed and timely manner.
• Be a positive, active team member.
• Possess the energy and enthusiasm to thrive in the high energy environment of an elementary school.
• Possess strong interpersonal and effective communications skills.
• Possess attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills required; be able to independently follow up where necessary while maintaining confidentiality.
• Demonstrate initiative and dependability when carrying out assignments. • Be able to take directions.
• Model the Catholic Faith through their example and Christian living.
Primary Job Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Assist at Verification Day/Evening and other school functions as deemed necessary by the principal and dean of students.
• Implement Virtue=Strength (a Catholic, virtue-based, formation program for athletes and coaches).
• Work as a team member with the school’s administrative team.
• Organize and maintain an Athletic Committee.
• Find and supervise coaches for sports teams.
• Liaison with CYO: attending meetings, providing rosters, etc.
• Schedule games for the gym at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic school.
• Schedule all other parish activities for the gym.
• Work with facilities manager to keep gym materials in working order.
• Schedule practices for all teams.
• Fundraising
• Present at home games, opening prayer, paying referees, working admission / concession stand.
• Maintain concession stand in cooperation with athletic committee.
• Liaison with athletic committee.
• Maintain and purchase equipment.
• Maintain and purchase uniforms on a rotational basis.
• Conduct registration for all seasons.
• Assign referees for games
• Producing and maintaining athletic budget

• Regularly required to read written material both up close and at a distance, speak, listen, write, and type.

• Lifting, carrying, and moving work-related supplies/equipment.
• Periodically may travel to meetings and work assignments.
