Pay: $1,300.00 per week
We are looking for a self-motivated restaurant maintenance technician who can provide support for multiple restaurants. Your responsibilities include cooling and refrigeration (HVACR), performing building repairs, troubleshooting problems with kitchen equipment, making adjustments to HVAC systems, repairing other equipment, fixing anything that would break, repairing walls, lights, etc. Conduct daily inspections of the facility and respond to issues whenever the General Manager brings them to your attention. You will also work with the restaurant’s owner to order replacement parts or equipment.
Don Julio Group has multiple restaurants in the Orlando and Lake Mary Area: Don Julio Mexican Kitchen and Tequila , Pisco Express, Pisco Gastrobar, Hot Taco, and more to come. You will need to travel to each location daily. Please note we are very busy, and this job is demanding.
Are you an all-rounded expert in the following repairs and maintenance?
- Commercial refrigeration (DO YOU HAVE A REFRIGERATION LICENSE?)
- AC/HVAC equipment (DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD?)
- Hot equipment, KITCHEN EQUIPMENT LIKE FRYERS, RANGES, CONVECTION OVENS, FLAT GRILL, CHAR GRILL
- Basic gas plumbing
- Electrical requirements
- Do you know how to fix things from the ceiling to the floor?
- Do you know how to manage a budget and use a computer?
- Are you nice, like people, and provide great customer service?
Requirements:
- Must be an expert in refrigeration.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- 2+ years’ experience in maintenance.
- Available as needed and at short notice.
- Have the means to travel to each restaurant.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ordering parts and looking for discounts.
- Able to follow up on orders.
- Able to provide reports of repairs, orders, and costs.
- Keep track of invoices and payments.
- Must keep the restaurant in tip-top shape.
- 3-5+ years of commercial experience as an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician.
- Experience servicing kitchen hot side equipment and ice machines preferred.
- Active EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
