- We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Senior Key Account Manager to join our growing Established Medicines team. The role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales activities of our generics/505(b)(2) and biosimilars business unit based on assigned territories. The incumbent will play a key role to drive end-user commercial sales across the acute and alternate site settings to meet corporate objectives. The position is responsible for executing access strategies for new product launches in coordination with Marketing and Supply Chain leadership. The selected candidate must reside within the Southeast region, either FL or GA.
- Increase sales and meet set goals in assigned territory and develop new business opportunities
- Educate customers on the company. generally as well as supply chain, product availability and manufacturing
- Provide field information related to the implementation of GPO, Source, Individual, 340b, DSH and Alternate Site contracts to be utilized in creating sales at the end user or system contracting source
- Review the various contract prices that are available (GPO, IDN, Individual, Access, Apexus, etc.)
- Manage wholesale inventory levels at the individual DCs to ensure product availability for customers
- Discuss packaging differentiation for specific products. Apply effective organization, planning, and time management skills to ensure optimal territory/account coverage
- Perform ad-hoc projects to support the business as requested
- Act and model with integrity, compliance, internal policies, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
- BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent work experience is required or AS Degree with CPhT certification
- 5+ years of experience in hospital pharmacy sales or 3+ years in the generic pharmaceutical industry or 3 years of relevant work experience in a Pharmacy setting is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of IDN structure, GPO contracting, drug distribution, and familiarity with decision makers within an IDN/GPO
- Must have a working knowledge of Institutional Pharmacy Procurement and market dynamics
- Ability to identify strategies with greatest business impact, formulate an appropriate business plan and execute the plan flawlessly
- Knowledge of the industry specifically generic injectable drugs, including ready to use and differentiated platform products and IV Solutions preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel spreadsheet knowledge and analytical ability a must
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, budget-oriented, high-volume sales environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills to interact successfully with customers and other team members (e.g. sales, marketing and market access)
- Entrepreneurial and capable of independent decision making with minimum direction
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
- Estimated travel approximately 75% based on business need either by car or public transportation; valid drivers' license is required
