Infrastructure engineer ()
Project Details: Need someone to flatten/rack down the data center topology to make it more standardized/scalable.
Must Have Skills:
On-prem data center experience
Core route/switch networking experience with enterprise level Cisco and Juniper
BGP, IPSec, Vxlan, VPN pairing, IPv6 protocol experience, and firewall experience are preferred
Knowledge of compute servers – Linux environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Public Cloud experience – AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
DevOps - SRE/Kubernetes/infrastructure automation/Terraform/Ansible/puppet/CFEngine/Saltstack etc..
Linux - Shell Scripting
Additional Details:
Need to be open to travel to data center on an as needed basis (minimal travel expected)
Day to day responsibilities:
Build robust and highly scalable computing and network infrastructure.
Design systems for peak reliability, scalability, and performance.
Demonstrated success implementing a resilient, secure, supportable, and highly available system
Debug Live Site events and conduct follow-up post-mortem and root cause analysis.
Reduce the number of switches interfacing with servers and improve the performance of the terminals to handle virtualization.
