Top Skills:

4+ years relevant experience in rf analysis, electronic equipment testing, wireless systems, or similar
Experienced with RF analysis or testing and using spectrum analyzers
Experienced in testing electronic equipment
Experienced with software testing with an understanding of test scripts and their function

Plus Skills:

Experience in Smart Meters, Utilities, or Oil and Gas

Additional Details:

Responsible for conducting RF Analysis to detect, understand, and resolve Advanced Meter Interference
Advanced Meters communicate with Data Collector Units (DCUs) to calculate natural gas consumption and associated customer billing

Responsibilities:

Responsible for RF Analysis, RF Field Testing, electronic components testing, software/firmware testing, validation, and certification
Monitor air bands using tools that are part of the Advanced Meter system and test performance
Conduct field surveys as needed with support
When needed, utilize spectrum analyzers to analyze interfering signals, signal strength and location, and collaborate on solutions
Ensure Data Collector Units are functioning properly and providing accurate data
Utilize existing test scripts to test system performance of the DCUs
Collaborate with Aclara to develop test scripts and test plans for new firmware or bug fixes
