DATA SCIENTIST
One of The Select Group's clients is looking for a Data Scientist to join their team! This person can sit REMOTE and will be working west coast hours. The ideal candidate must have a strong background within the retail industry and comes from a data scientist/economist background. You will be responsible for supporting Digital Experimentation within the Experimentation Center of Excellence to meet the rapid growth of our client's eCommerce business and loyalty programs. DATA SCIENTIST RESPONSIBILITIES
One of The Select Group's clients is looking for a Data Scientist to join their team! This person can sit REMOTE and will be working west coast hours. The ideal candidate must have a strong background within the retail industry and comes from a data scientist/economist background. DATA SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS
- 4-8 years of experience working in retail data domain
- Minimum of 3 projects focused on in-store experimentation data
- Must understand statistical theory and economics
- Must be able to script using Python and/or R
- Need to know python for data analysis should be familiar with libraries or packages
- Must have Modeling experience
- the ability to build regression models and decision trees
- Excellent presentation skills (comfortable presenting to VP level)
DATA SCIENTIST RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop strong testable hypothesis and understand what data is needed to test these as well as support business function objectives.
- Analyze results and objectively report findings and recommendations.
- Ensure test integrity is maintained by providing A/B testing subject-matter expertise that is predicated on sound best practices and analytical rigor.
- Formulate, communicate and present clear and concise test results and insights to stakeholders and the larger organization.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather test requirements, validate hypotheses, identify success metrics, and determine feasibility of A/B testing implementation.
- Work closely with internal partners to understand their goals and priorities and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Apply statistical concepts to analyze the root cause and solution for potential issues.
- Able to deal with ambiguity, a go-getter who figure things out, and could help support business decisions with data.
- Interface and drive engagement with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
