CEDENT- Cisco Network Engineer ()

This role is to ensure the stability and integrity of the LAN and WAN network services. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Cisco Network Engineer with strong network design, deployment, network operations, device support, and Tier II troubleshooting experience. Must have hands-on experience with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Cisco Infrastructures.
In addition, the Network Engineer will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication systems. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
Associate’s Degree Required
BA/BS Computer Science or related degree is highly desirable

Certifications:
• CCNP Required
• ITIL is a plus.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preference

Knowledge & Experience
• Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP); Quality of Service and VLAN configurations; Layer 3 switching, including IP multicast; troubleshooting experience over wide area networks.
• In-depth understanding of various network services (Trunking, T1/DS1, MPLS, NAT, DHCP, DNS, NTP, HSRP/VRRP.)
• Experience with Cisco router and switch configuration (familiarity with the following hardware types: 29/39xx, ISR 4xxx routers and 29xx, 38xx, 45xx, 68xx, 7xxx Catalyst switches, Nexus).
• Good understanding of Cisco wireless architecture, design, implementation, and administration.
• Good understanding of Radius and/or TACACS.
• Experience with networking tools such as Infoblox NetMRI, Solarwinds, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
• Experience working with enterprise ticketing systems (Service Now)
• Advanced skills in overall network administration, network installation, configurations, migrations, and problem resolution
• Experience working on a variety of network equipment types in a global environment.
• Experience working in an in-house and outsourced environment.
• Provide mentoring for engineering team members
