Platform Engineer (Kubernetes SME)

The Select Group is seeking a Platform Engineer (Kubernetes SME) for a large Telecommunication client. For this role, the Platform Engineer will be responsible for managing large amount of Kubernets clusters, scalability of Kubernetes, and maintain the network infrastructure.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 8+ years in Information Technology

· 5+ years of recent experience with Kubernetes

· Intermediate experience with designing Kubernetes clusters for scalability and best practices

· Experience managing production clusters and ensuring compliance.

· Strong experience in building custom Kubernetes Operators

· Understands real-time computations on servers and working with streaming data technologies.

· Well versed in Opensource technologies including Openshift, Redis, Rabbit, and VictoriaMetrics

· Strong understanding of Telecommunications

· Strong understanding of Virtual Machines and networking technologies (networking backround)

· Education/Certification Requirements: bachelor’s degree, Computer Science, or related field – highly preferred
