Position Duration: 6+ month rolling contract

Reason for need: To help with data validation, assist with reporting, and enhance database architecture.
Project Details:

·       Service Transformation is a team within Customer Operations that is responsible for the Centralized Decisioning Engine (CDE), a business rules engine called Pega. Our CDE uses everything Charter knows about a customer to try and predict why they are contacting Charter. It uses that information to recommend a Next Best Action for that customer, so that they can be routed to an agent or a process that can help resolve their problem.

·       3 main aspects of role:

o   Responsible for validation and sourcing data within PEGA.

o   How does data need to be ingested into PEGA.

o   What changes need to be made to optimize database and make sure it is as efficient as possible.

How does this project impact the customer or business:

·       Pega is an emerging technology used by most of the major banks, insurance, and telecommunication companies. We are the only team within Charter using this technology to improve the customer experience.

Required Skills:

1.       5-10+ database experience.

a.     Oracle databases preferred.

b.     Hadoop works too.

2.     Experience APIs.

a.     Understanding how to handle responses from APIs.

3.     Experience with data feeds.

a.     Kafka

b.     ETL.

c.     Able to access ETL, API and Kafka topics and make sure the data is running efficiently.

Nice to Have Skills:

·       Telecommunications experience preferred.

·       PEGA experience.

·       Experience working with customer data.

·       Data validation and reporting with PEGA team.

·       Responsible for the design, structure, and maintenance of data.

·       Ensures the accuracy and accessibility of data relevant to an organization or a project.

·       Superior analytical skills and detail oriented.

·       Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.

·       Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.

·       Exhibit advanced visualization skills, as well as creative problem-solving.
