Description:
- As a WLAN Analyst for the client’s Americas team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.
- This role will work with the WLAN team to provide support for all of the client’s locations across the Americas.
Typical Day:
- Work directly on WLAN issue identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions
- Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
- Work actively with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
- Implement WLAN designs
- Work with expanded WLAN team to implement processes and/or process improvements to aid in development and support
- Maintain and administer WLAN including hardware, software, applications software, and configurations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with team members, approximately 1 week every 8 weeks
Technical Skills Required:
(Required)
- Computer-related or engineering-related four-year college or university degree
- Three to six years of progressively responsible IT job-related experiences
- WLAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration.
- Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches.
- Cisco WLAN devices/products (i.e., AireOS, 9800's, etc.)

- Experience with automation technologies and scripting
- Relevant work experience with medium to large companies
- Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN
