Summary
The Clinical Director provides supervision, guidance, and leadership across all clinical programs, overseeing the work of clinical staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality of care. This role is central to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of outpatient and residential services, focusing on effective and ethical service delivery.
Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision to staff as required by state regulations and contractual obligations, including support for those working toward licensure.

Develop and implement clinical procedures and oversee treatment plans, ensuring Medicaid and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with residential staff on admissions and support the implementation of programs for both outpatient and residential services, ensuring quality and consistency in care delivery.

Establish and maintain evidence-based clinical programs, evaluating their effectiveness and recommending improvements to senior leadership.

Oversee the organization’s drug testing policies, implementing changes as needed to enhance service quality.

Assist with recruiting, training, and scheduling of clinical staff; provide direct oversight of call center staff during transitions, such as the 988 expansion.

Maintain and update clinical procedures in collaboration with the Executive Director, ensuring compliance with certification and licensing standards.

Respond to audits and manage clinical data for reporting and billing purposes, collaborating with the Business Manager on insurance-related criteria.

Actively participate in protocol development, community education, and organizational leadership activities, representing the clinical perspective.
Direct Care

Maintain a caseload, providing direct client care for at least 5 clients weekly.
Qualifications

M-Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with Licensed Clinical Supervisor credential (required); LCMHC preferred.

Master’s degree in Addictions, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or a related field.

Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a substance use disorder recovery program or private practice.

Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop a collaborative, supportive clinical team.
