Summary
The Biomarker Discovery and Development Specialist is responsible for supporting assay development, validation, and biomarker discovery. This role includes leading scientific and technical efforts in biomarker data and assay development for clinical and pre-clinical studies, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating across teams.
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support biomarker discovery, assay development, and study execution for clinical and pre-clinical projects.
  • Conduct project planning, method validation, sample analysis, and data interpretation, ensuring GLP compliance.
  • Provide scientific expertise in biomarker data and assay development; manage experimental design and troubleshooting.
  • Design proof-of-concept studies, validate experimental data, and perform quality control reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on study design, data reporting, and SOP development.
  • Oversee and train team members, providing mentorship and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Participate in writing SOPs, study plans, regulatory submissions, and internal/external presentations.
  • Travel as required for conferences.
 

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or advanced degree in biology, molecular biology, immunology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in assay development and research on various assay technologies.
  • Proficiency with qPCR, dPCR, and multiplex immunoassay platforms (e.g., Luminex, Intelliflex).
  • Knowledge of CLIA/CAP lab standards and regulatory processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and independent working skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States, with E-Verify participation.
