Position Summary:
The Research Laboratory Manager will support the Principal Investigator in executing and maintaining research studies, managing study documentation, and supervising research study personnel. This role involves conducting experiments, overseeing data collection and analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The manager will play a key role in facilitating the success of groundbreaking research studies.
Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, IATA, GLP, and infection control procedures as applicable.

Perform and assist in laboratory experiments, data collection, and reporting.

Process and ship samples in compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and analyze laboratory experiments, record observations, and report results.

Collect, enter, and analyze data; prepare interim and final progress reports.

Disseminate research findings and assist in manuscript preparation.

Attend conferences to present research findings on behalf of the research team.

Maintain and update a literature library relevant to the research topic.

Ensure cleanliness, disinfection, and maintenance of laboratory areas and equipment.

Supervise and train research personnel, overseeing lab ordering and stocking.

Maintain security, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance for all research records.

Manage IACUC or IRB documentation, including protocols, approvals, and modifications.

Communicate effectively with the Principal Investigator, site personnel, and sponsors.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Successfully complete a government background check.

3-5 years of experience in the biomedical field preferred.

Non-profit, research, or healthcare experience (3-5 years preferred).

1-3 years of experience in staff or project management.

Demonstrated competence in oral and written communication.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office software at an intermediate level or higher.

Ability to exercise independent judgment in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.

Flexible with changing priorities and capable of managing multiple projects diplomatically.

Strong data management and processing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Science.

Experience managing data and processing in a research or healthcare setting.
