We are seeking a Data Analyst & Product Strategy to join our team. This role focuses on querying, analyzing, and transforming raw data into insights that support product performance evaluation, financial modeling, and proposal development. The ideal candidate will work across disciplines, applying data analytics and business acumen to support product strategy, funding applications, and financial decision-making.

What areas you will be working on:

As a Data Analyst & Product Strategy, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Product Performance Analytics & Data Insights
  • Query, clean, and analyze raw performance, earnings, and diagnostic data from company databases.
  • Generate performance metrics, reports, and predictive models to support product strategies and decision-making.
  • Leverage machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow) to build predictive models for performance forecasting.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to present insights effectively.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through robust verification processes.
2. Financial & Business Modeling
  • Support the development of financial models to assess product profitability, ROI, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct scenario modeling to forecast revenue, cost structures, and market demand.
  • Assist in pricing strategy development based on data insights and financial feasibility.
  • Provide data-backed recommendations to optimize product economics and deployment strategies.
3. Proposal & Grant Development Support
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify funding opportunities (government grants, impact investments).
  • Support the development of proposals and due diligence by providing data-driven justifications for funding requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical and financial information for proposals.
4. Strategic Decision-Making & Business Insights
  • Perform anomaly detection in the data to flag operational inefficiencies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards (OCPP, UL, IEC), and emerging technologies in energy storage and EV charging.
  • Provide recommendations on what additional data should be collected to enhance business intelligence.

Job Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Math, Computational Finance, Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Industrial, Financial), or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience (Including Co-Op in data analysis, financial modeling, or business intelligence.
  • Strong SQL proficiency for querying and managing large datasets.
  • Experience with Python, R, or other statistical modeling tools for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling techniques, including ROI calculations and cost modeling.
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Assets:
  • Experience in energy storage, EV charging, or sustainable technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with government grants, impact investment processes, and proposal development.
  • Financial and business acumen with a strong understanding of product economics.
  • A valid Ontario “G” Class Driver’s License with no demerit points.
