To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and safety-oriented Labourer to join our team. Reporting to our Foreman, the Labourer is responsible for customer service and traffic flow throughout the yard and assisting with loading/unloading materials from vehicles.


Key Responsibilities
  • Control traffic near, in or around work area
  • Clean work area to eliminate possible hazards
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, of equipment or materials
  • Read instructions, work orders or other customer requirements to complete customer orders
  • Load, unload, or identify materials, distributing them to the appropriate locations on work site
  • Manually heavy lift materials to assist in loading/ unloading and stocking of material
  • Spot trucks and heavy equipment
  • Communicate using two-way radio
  • Use any hand tools that may be required for tasks
  • Exercising good customer service while dealing with the public
  • Complete Pre-Job Hazard Assessments and Equipment Pre-Use Inspections
  • Other general labour duties as required

Education and Experience
  • 1 - 2 years outside heavy labour experience
  • Must be able to perform physical repetitive tasks with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
  • Previous experience working in the industrial/metal industry is considered a strong asset
