The Henry County Adult Detention Center is seeking a dedicated and reliable Culinary Worker to join our team. This position plays a vital role in preparing and serving meals to detainees while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and dietary regulations.

- Prepare and cook meals according to scheduled menus and dietary guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food preparation and storage areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to health department regulations
- Assist with inventory control, food storage, and stock rotation
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, detention officers, and facility administrators
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
- May assist with supervising inmate kitchen workers under officer supervision
- Must be available for rotating shifts, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have Serve Safe Certification
- Previous experience in institutional or commercial food service preferred
- Ability to follow recipes, portion control, and food safety standards
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in a secure, correctional environment
