 We’re Hiring: Revenue Auditor

Location: Henry County Commissioner of Revenue Office
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Minimum: $42,478 annually ($21.78/hour)

The Henry County Commissioner of Revenue’s Office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Auditor to join their team. This position plays a key role in ensuring tax compliance, supporting business licensing, and serving Henry County taxpayers. What You’ll Do
  • Conduct financial, compliance, and investigative audits of personal property and gross receipts business license tax returns; perform on-site business visits to verify compliance
  • Administer business licensing, including issuing new licenses, processing renewals, changes of ownership, and following up on non-compliance
  • Assess personal property and assist with real estate record maintenance
  • Administer tax relief programs for qualifying disabled veterans and elderly/disabled residents
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial records, daily and monthly reports, and correspondence for the Treasurer's Office and other County departments
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, professional resource for taxpayers and the public — responding to inquiries, assisting with forms, and handling complex or sensitive situations with courtesy and care

What We’re Looking For
  • Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field preferred; a comparable combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Three to five years of experience in tax administration or a related public-sector role preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual skills are a plus — bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Valid driver's license required
