POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer will work closely with the project management team which includes the Project Manager, Project Superintendents, estimators, accounting and administrative staff and the other project engineers.  The primary objective is for the project team to execute jobs on/under budget and on/ahead of schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and Compliance with Project Requirements:  Review and understand project drawings and specifications. Prepare submittals, schedules, Request For Information (RFI), obtain material and equipment price quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, track material delivery status, assist with change order management, and any other tasks as directed by the project management team.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with all project stakeholders, including Clients, Contractors, and third parties (e.g., Fire Department, BWS, HECO, DOT) involved in the projects.
  • Site Visits and Documentation: Conduct on-site visits as needed and document conditions.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Fulfill other assigned duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Equivalent Industry Experience
Equivalent Industry Experience: 3+ years preferred
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong Mathematical and Scientific Aptitude: Proficient in mathematics, physical science, and engineering principles.
  • Construction Industry Literacy: Understands specifications, and drawings.
  • Flexible Traveler: Willingness to travel to various work sites.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Committed to providing high-quality customer service and support.
  • Physical Capability: Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and other software.
  • Effective Time Management: Balances demands across multiple projects.
  • Good Communication Skills: Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
  • Positive Team Player: Maintains a good attitude and collaborates effectively. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 5+ years preferred
Skills/Knowledge:
  • General construction knowledge
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Bluebeam experience

Pay Scale: $50,000-$70,000.  Salary will be commensurate with experience
