We have an opportunity for a QC Tech at our pulse plant located in Scarborough, ON.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verifying line hygiene, sanitation and pre-op inspections.
  • Collecting and managing retained samples of incoming shipments and productions and comparing against standards.
  • Verifying and approving raw materials.
  • Performing routine line checks to ensure SOP and CCPs are respected.
  • Monitoring and train team in GMP and HACCP protocols.
  • Participating in Health and Safety program.
  • Preparing customer samples.
  • Assisting QA Manager where required.
  • Assisting and participating in overall GFSI program

COMPETENCIES

  • Dynamic, organized and able to proactively improve overall QA program.
  • Have good interpersonal skills to motivate and train staff.
  • Be able to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Have good knowledge of computers – MS Office, Internet – ERP an asset.
  • Have good knowledge of GMP, HACCP – GFSI (SQF) an asset.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Over 1 years of food quality and safety experience, GMP, Cleaning & sanitation & equipment verification.
  • Over 1 years’ experience in food plant CCP, quality and safety operational monitoring.
  • Mandatory working knowledge of working exposure in food safety, Health & Safety, HACCP and GMP would be an asset.
  • Must have quality & food safety plant level experience.
