Amenities & Rock Wall Attendant Job Description
LA PALESTRA is hiring for an Amenities & Rock Wall Attendant. We are looking for an experienced climber who is customer-focused, outgoing, professional with a positive attitude and outstanding communication skills. Punctuality is imperative as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. This position is part-time with flexible scheduling hours and potential for full-time.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Instruct climbing techniques for all ages and experience levels
- Teach private and semi-private instructional lessons
- Supervise open climb sessions
- Manage and host team-building events, parties and clinics at the rock wall
- According to company standards, perform frequent and consistent inspections of the rock wall area to maintain its safety and functionality
- Document rock wall inventory and supplies
- Assist in managing reservations and rentals in the various amenity spaces
- Respond to customer questions and requests for amenity information
- Understand, communicate and exhibit the company's mission
- Learn new software applications
Requirements:
Rock Climbing Belay Certification (previous certification from the Professional Climbing Instructors Association (PCIA) or American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) is highly preferred)
Candidates need to be available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week including a combination weekend and weekday mornings and or afternoons.
