LA PALESTRA is searching for an individual who is passionate about cleaning and takes pride in their work that they do. This position is primarily for maintaining and cleaning the fitness center, bath rooms, theater room, kitchen, lounge, pool, offices, and other areas. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented and takes initiative when completing tasks.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willing to work on weekends
  • Experience in the maintenance industry or related fields
  • Ability to stand and be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift 25 - 50lbs

It is essential that interested candidates be willing to work a minimum of 24 hours per week including:

  • as early as 7:00 am start on Weekends
  • as early as 5:30 am start on Weekdays
  • as late as 11:00 pm close on Weekends
  • as late as 11:00 pm close on Weekdays
Responsibilities include:
  • Conducts daily inspections in the facility to ensure facility adheres to LMPG, Lifestyles, and Residential Management standards.
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance on all resident common areas
    • Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and mopping
    • Thorough cleaning of all equipment
    • Emptying all trash daily
    • Deep cleaning of locker rooms, restrooms and showers
    • Daily laundry of towels
    • Replenish and stock supplies as needed
  • Works closely with management to schedule vendors and contractors for necessary equipment and repairs.
  • Ensure that maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
  • Works in a safe and efficient manner. When recognizing unsafe situations, takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others on the gym floor.
  • Have complete understanding of the proper layout of the furniture and amenities in each room type. Ensure that furnishings and correct amenities are in their proper places after the room is cleaned.
Skill Set:
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for furniture, rugs, curtains, countertops etc.
  • Willing to initiate tasks (either from your daily checklist or targets of opportunity) and perform duties without direction
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to handle a multi-task environment
