Estimate Pay Range: $70,500K - $75K (Employer est.) + Quarterly Bonus
Primary Objective:
The Executive Meeting Manager (EMM) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and converting small group business (typically under 40 rooms peak) to support overall hotel revenue objectives. This role plays a crucial part in activating meeting space, maintaining steady F&B activity, and capturing high-potential group business that may be overlooked when prioritizing larger opportunities. Travel outside of the office to meet with customers and prospective customers to develop business, make proposals, negotiate contracts, and maintain contacts, conduct site inspections and close deals. Consistently meet with and entertain customers, conduct property tours, participate in tradeshows and industry and community events to promote facilities and services.
The EMM ensures prompt handling of all relevant RFPs, serves as the initial point of contact for new group business inquiries, and partners closely with the Associate Director of Sales to hand off strategic or large-scale opportunities. This position is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on quick turnarounds, enjoys building client relationships, and is passionate about maximizing every opportunity—regardless of size.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Management
- Respond to all small-group RFPs within 24 hours via Cvent, hotel website, direct calls, and third-party channels.
- Manage small-scale group leads including social, sports, education, association, and corporate mini-groups.
- Qualify incoming inquiries to determine fit, availability, and revenue potential.
- Actively solicit new business through outreach to local businesses, universities (e.g., UCLA), associations, and Westside-area contacts.
- Drive bookings for breakfasts, luncheons, training sessions, and short-lead meetings.
- Cross-sell hotel services including AV, catering, parking, room upgrades, and other value-adds.
- Prepare and finalize contracts, proposals, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for small meetings and events.
- Coordinate event details with the banquet and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain client communication throughout the planning process and post-event follow-up.
4. Revenue Management & Reporting
- Track weekly sales activity, booking pace, and goal progress.
- Maximize revenue through strategic upselling of suites, parking, F&B minimums, and meeting room rentals.
