Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000
Job Summary: Mitchell Design Build is in search of a career minded Full Time Assistant Project Manager. Position is in office with minor required local travel to jobsite's for oversight. Applicants must have 2-5 years’ experience minimum. The Junior Project Manager is responsible for planning and oversight of construction projects in order to maintain budget, schedule, safety, and quality.

The Junior Project Manager is responsible for planning and oversight of construction projects in order to maintain budget, schedule, safety, and quality.
Job duties to include:
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Create and review shop drawings.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor materials to timely handle inadequacies.
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Construction Oversight and Coordination.
Job requirements and qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in similar position in the construction industry.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Self-starting and self-motivated.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to manage and direct other employees.
- Ability to interact with clients in a professional manor.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and tasks.
- Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel, and have experience with Project Management and Scheduling software.
- Experience with estimating and estimating software a major plus, but not required.
- Computer skills: experience with AutoCad a major plus, but not required.
