Job Title: Field Technician Level III
Reports To: Project Manager/Senior Project Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate Range: $27-$30
Traveling: Must be willing to travel ~35% of the time
Summary: Responsible for installing, servicing and integrating health care communication systems. The Field Technician is responsible for utilizing company policy, procedure and processes to meet customer requirements. Troubleshoots and communicates solutions in a timely manner to meet objectives. Required to meet all administrative requirements including but not limited to recording job detail and hours. Responsible for assisting in the improvement of our quality, efficiency, cost reduction and safety initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pre-installation Preparation
- Prepare materials and equipment for delivery as requested.
- Ensure tools and vehicles are in good condition.
- Understand job estimates and schedules.
- Review customer regulations and perform necessary system configurations.
- Assist in organizing lower-level technicians.
- Installation
- Run and terminate cables, install devices, and test systems.
- Understand all system components and assist in training lower-level technicians
- Post-installation
- Conduct customer training and obtain sign-off.
- Document the return of job equipment and assist with Bill of Materials reconciliation.
- Attend job reviews as needed.
- Service Calls
- Perform tests and inspections on existing clients.
- Handle on-call service assignments and log service calls.
- Communicate and document as required.
- Administrative Requirements
- Record daily hours and tasks.
- Provide internal documentation upon job completion.
- Participate in performance reviews and comply with company policies.
- Communicate improvement opportunities.
- Training Participation
- Engage in technical, safety, and business training.
- Assist in leading training modules as requested.
- Compliance Requirements
- Maintain up-to-date immunizations and complete required training on products, services, and hospital safety.
- Acknowledge facility policies.
Education/Experience:
- Associate’s Degree (A.A. / A.S.) from two-year college or trade school;
- or two to five years related experience and/or training;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record, as conditions of initial (and continued) employment as well as use of Company (if available).
