Job Title: Field Technician Level IV
Reports To: Project Manager/Senior Project Manager  
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 
Hourly Rate Range: $29-$34/hr.
Traveling: Must be willing to travel ~35% of the time

Summary: Responsible for installing, servicing and integrating health care communication systems. The Field Technician is responsible for utilizing company policy, procedure and processes to meet customer requirements.  Troubleshoots and communicates solutions in a timely manner to meet objectives. Required to meet all administrative requirements including but not limited to recording job detail and hours. Responsible for assisting in the improvement of our quality, efficiency, cost reduction and safety initiatives. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Field Service Technician to perform installation, integration, maintenance, and repairs to Company supported Products, a wide variety of telecommunications systems, equipment, cabling, and software. The Field Technician will also perform other related work as required.

  • Pre-installation Preparation
    • Ensure all materials/equipment are ready as per Project Manager’s request.
    • Check tools and vehicles for good working condition.
    • Understand estimated hours and schedule for tasks.
    • Review customer contacts and on-site regulations.
    • Assist with necessary system configuration.
  • Installation
    • Run cable.
    • Set up Headend/Server.
    • Terminate cable.
    • Install devices.
    • Test systems and devices.
    • Understand all system components related to the build
  • Post-installation
    • Conduct customer training.
    • Obtain customer sign-off.
    • Document and return remaining job equipment.
    • Assist with Bill of Materials reconciliation.
  • Service Calls
    • Perform tests and inspections for existing clients.
    • Act as on-call service technician.
    • Conduct technical service work.
    • Log service calls and complete forms.
    • Communicate and document as needed.
  • Meet Administrative Requirements
    • Record daily hours and tasks.
    • Provide internal documentation as requested.
    • Participate in performance reviews.
    • Comply with company handbook and policies.
    • Suggest improvements for the company.
    • Use company email and calendar for communication.
  • Participate in Company Training
    • Attend technical training on products and services.
    • Complete network, safety, and service training.
    • Engage in business training for industry understanding.
  • Maintain Compliance for Facility Access
    • Provide proof of up-to-date immunizations.
    • Complete required training (Bloodborne Pathogen, HIPAA, etc.).
    • Acknowledge individual facility policies.

Education/Experience: 
  • Associate’s Degree (A.A. / A.S.) from two-year college or trade school;
  • or two to five years related experience and/or training;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates and Licenses: 
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record, as conditions of initial (and continued) employment as well as use of Company (if available).
