Position Title: Junior Estimator
Reports To: Estimator and/or Director of Construction
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

The StoreCrafters personalized approach is also evident throughout our comprehensive nationwide network of subcontractors who understand and comply with our stringent standards of quality, service, and communication.  We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team and ensure the successful execution of our projects.

Position Summary:
The Junior Estimator will assist in the preparation and evaluation of project bids, helping ensure accurate cost estimates and efficient project delivery. The Junior Estimator will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, assisting with bid preparation, compiling estimate documentation, and communicating with subcontractors to obtain pricing information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze construction drawings and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators to compile accurate bid documents and estimates for ongoing projects.
  • Make phone calls to identify, contact, and qualify potential subcontractors for bids. Obtain necessary pricing and scope information from subcontractors.
  • Assist in assembling project estimate books, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and accurate.
  • Engage in regular communication via phone and email with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to gather necessary data for estimates.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Estimator and Director of Construction, helping manage project timelines and maintaining up-to-date records of bids and estimates.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction office setting is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills for phone and email correspondence.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
