Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials, including appliances and house kits.
- Ensure that all inventory is stored properly and that materials are easily accessible for other departments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring that stock levels are up-to-date and readily available.
- Monitor inventory levels of appliances, house kits, and other materials, placing orders when necessary to ensure stock is replenished in a timely manner.
- Track incoming and outgoing inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Place orders for new stock and supplies as needed, coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Work with the purchasing team to keep inventory levels aligned with project needs.
- Oversee and manage the voucher system, ensuring proper tracking and accountability for items ordered, received, and distributed.
- Process and verify voucher requests, keeping records and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Serve as a floating driver when needed, performing deliveries or other transportation-related tasks.
- Provide assistance across departments when forklift operations are not required, maintaining flexibility and supporting team needs.
- Use company software to track inventory, process orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform data entry and manage reports related to inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating a forklift and adhering to safety guidelines in the warehouse.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are stored and handled according to safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a forklift; forklift certification preferred (training available).
- Strong computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and data entry.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
