Commercial Project Manager

DESCRIPTION: The Commercial Project Manager will work on commercial projects providing materials for: multi-family, apartments, schools, senior living facilities, etc. The Commercial Project Manager will be working with the window, stairs, trim, door, frame, and hardware fields.

DEPARTMENT: Commercial
SALARY: $62-66K
REPORTS TO: Senior Project Manager
FLSA: Full Time, Salary , Non-Exempt
BUSINESS HOURS: M-F, 7:00am-4:00pm. Overtime as needed.
WORK AUTHORIZATION: US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Communicate with customers to establish their requirements and goals.
- Build relationships with clients.
- Communicate with leadership and team members on status of projects.
- Ordering materials and managing shipments to site.
- Produce submittals, shop drawings and door schedules.
- Review job cost for project profitability.
- Manage project costs, changes, and budgets.
- Foster subcontractor and vendor relations.
- Manage and oversee field operations for timeline and budget requirements.
- Attending meetings within the department.
- Pull and create reports for the senior project manager.
- Ensure that all project documentation is completed according to company and legal standards.
- Other duties assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Proficient in POS systems.
- Competent in ordering software and systems.
- Competent in Quoting systems.
- Math Skills.
- Knowledge of Construction and Building Materials.
- Excellent Observation skills.
- Knowledge in RFI.
- Ability to learn current and new products and product lines.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 Years Project Management or 5+ years in Construction Management.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Professional certifications and accreditations are valued but not required.
