The Longwood Medical Area Childcare Center (LMACCC) is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Teacher to join our amazing team. We are seeking teachers who are caring, passionate about learning, and looking to make a positive difference in children’s lives. Our teachers work collaboratively with one another and our tenured management staff is here to support you every step of the way.

No teaching certifications or licenses needed for this position!

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities: 

  • Gain a positive, hands-on experience assisting the Program Coordinator as needed.
  • Work a full-time schedule from 10 am-6 pm.
  • Provide an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that meets the needs of young children. 
  • Plan and implement daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff parents, and children.
  • Serve as a supportive member of our team both in the classroom and within LMACCC.
  • Participate in fun staff events such as pajama day in order to foster a positive environment.
Assistant Teacher Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.
Assistant Teacher Qualifications:
  • Positive, reliable, and encouraging personality.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
  • Excellent team player; flexible.
  • Ready to learn! Openness to new ideas and/or approaches.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.  
Assistant Teacher Compensation and Benefits: 
  • $500 Sign-on Bonus after 6 months*
