HVAC Operations Manager Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing daily operational aspects of the West Region’s Building Services business. The primary role will involve collaborating with the existing Western PA (Wexford) branch and service personnel including field service technicians to manage the day-to-day operational activities of the business. This role will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of the Building Services business in the Western PA Region.
Overview of this position’s responsibilities are: Time and Material work orders, Preventative Maintenance, Service Projects, procurement of Service-based work opportunities including job site/customer visits and compiling estimates with support from other members of the team. Primary responsibilities also include overseeing the execution of the work and customer satisfaction, ensuring that our HVAC services meet and exceed customer expectations.

HVAC Operations Manager Essential Functions:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC technicians and professionals.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.
- Operations Management:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of HVAC services.
- Monitor and optimize scheduling, dispatching, and inventory management.
- Quality Assurance:
- Maintain and improve the quality and safety standards of HVAC operations.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes and safety protocols.
- Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring excellent service and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify and capture new HVAC business opportunities.
- Financial Management:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue-generating strategies.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HVAC industry regulations and standards.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements.
- Reporting:
- Provide regular reports to both regional and senior management on the performance of the HVAC Building Services team.
- Identify areas for improvement and present action plans for growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
HVAC Operations Manager Education, experience, technical skills & attributes required:
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Business Management, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in HVAC operations and management
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, technology, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
