Superintendents shall be responsible for all operations in the production department and shall ensure that all safety precautions are taken, and that the work is carried out in a safe manner. Manages in a manner to promote a safe yard and a positive employee attitude and promotes and advocates company policy. The President, Production Manager or Vice President of Operations may assign additional duties as deemed appropriate. Ensure accurate daily reports are prepared and transmitted at the correct time.

- Above all project tasks, SAFETY – Production Management personnel shall present leadership, good example and follow all safety regulations of the project site. This includes Offshore Inland facilities, customer vessels, rigs, etc.
- Expressing professionalism and leadership to Foreman and Supervising personnel while providing mentorship, disciplinary action, delegation of projects and customer support with Project Manager for project status, deviations, NCRs, contract changes, etc.
- Review of daily JSA documentation with verification they’re completed properly and accurately in accordance with OIMO expectations and OIMO customer vessels / rigs.
- Communication between onshore and offshore crews for project needs, status, and change management with proper turnovers during change of supervising ownership and responsibility of projects.
- Superintendent daily reports are to be filled out and turned in to inform status of each project that he is assigned.
- Working to aggressive project schedules and coordination of crew(s) with leadership and reporting
- Superintendents are to make sure time sheets are turned in on time and correctly filled out by each of his foreman for the projects he is assigned.
- Encouraging and compliance for the use of OIMO quality system procedures and supporting documents for project traceability, customer final sign off sheets, proper revision of drawings, and turn over documents as needed.
- Manage the resourcing and development of personnel for their department including offshore credentials, training, encouragement, and complementing good work performed.
- Oversight and Supervision of assigned Production Foreman and Supervisors for project operations management involving review and verification of JSAs, Employee / Staffing Agency Time Management, Scheduling / Progress Status, Reporting to Production Manager as requested.
- Offshore projects require Superintendent follow up and review (traveling to rigs and vessels) for workmanship performed by Offshore Foreman and Supervision shall be completed.
- Perform individual appraisals of production personnel regularly and ensure that training needs are identified and training requirements fulfilled.
- Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Desired 10 years or minimum 5 Years’ Experience in management or supervision
- Experience to be involved with offshore and/or marine applications
- Familiar with interpreting project specifications and contracts for supporting offshore, onshore, drilling, process, hydraulic, and subsea piping systems
- Familiar with proper pipe fitting, welding, and mechanical incline of pumps, valves, and auxiliary machinery.
- Familiar with the use of pipe machining tools such as bevelers, drills, threading, etc.
- Familiar with Mechanical Piping design and engineering specifications for installation and fabrication.
- Familiar with tanks, piping, and pressure vessel codes for fabrication, installation, proof testing, flushing, and operational testing.
- Familiar with reading and interpreting piping schematics for operational support
- Ability to provide customer suggestion and liaison for piping system repair, operation, and service conditions.
- Ability to provide piping estimates for installation and fabrication aboard marine vessels for estimating department support
- Familiar with piping installation standards for penetrations, electrolysis isolation, corrosion, and materials such as Carbon, stainless, copper nickel, chrome moly, line pipe, forgings, hammer fittings, valves, gaskets, bolting and fasteners, Pigging and drift testing
- Ability to communicate with customer representatives for upcoming projects and follow up for quality work
- Provide ideas for improving piping fabrication and installation methods for increased project efficiencies and profits.
