Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a dedicated Adult Education Specialist to join our team primarily supporting a United States Department of Defense customer at Pope Army Airfield, NC. This role is essential in developing, refining, and delivering training strategies and methods that are tailored for adult learners, with a focus on the effective dissemination of technical, operational, and procedural knowledge related to Tactical Data Links (TDL) and Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) operations.
The Adult Education Specialist will work closely with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Instructors to ensure that training programs meet the highest standards for adult education and align with operational requirements.

The Adult Education Specialist will work closely with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Instructors to ensure that training programs meet the highest standards for adult education and align with operational requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Instructional Designers to develop course curricula, ensuring that the content and delivery methods align with adult learning principles.
- Refine teaching methods and provide feedback to Instructors, adapting strategies to suit various learning styles and needs.
- Ensure that practical applications, simulations, and scenarios used in training programs align with best practices in adult education and maximize student engagement and understanding.
- Develop and implement blended learning techniques, including virtual, in-residence, and mobile training team (MTT) instruction.
- Work closely with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy in course content and maintain the relevancy of training materials to evolving operational standards.
- Assist in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of training programs, ensuring that learning objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
- Support the Instructor certification process by developing and executing training plans that ensure all teaching personnel are well-prepared and qualified to deliver course content.
- Provide educational insights to support the development of online and distance learning platforms, ensuring integration with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, and with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of experience in adult education, instructional design, or curriculum development, preferably in a military or technical training environment.
- Experience with all phases of the ADDIE process
- Experience with Moodle and LMS Operations
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online course delivery methods.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to provide actionable feedback and refine teaching strategies to suit various learner needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a military training or defense contracting environment.
- Familiarity with Tactical Data Links (TDLs), Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) operations, or similar military systems.
- Advanced degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or Instructional Design.
