Security Manager

Security Clearance Required


OTA is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to provide cybersecurity expertise, develop security packages, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of system engineering, cybersecurity principles, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes. This role involves creating security documentation, managing technical security controls, responding to incidents, and conducting system audits to safeguard networks and information systems.

This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Responsibilities 
  • Apply system engineering and cybersecurity methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with national cybersecurity standards such as CNSSI 4009, NIST 800-37, and NIST 800-160
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for RMF compliance
  • Provide RMF artifacts, including but not limited to: Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Ensure systems meet Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity best practices, including protection of Endpoints, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and Servers
  • Provide consulting on the development of information security procedures and assist in technical management, covering System Design/Architecture, Defense in Depth, Zero Trust, Domain Separation, and Disaster Recovery
  • Collaborate on Project Planning, Configuration Management, Risk Management, and Information Management activities
  • Implement and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA), VPN, PKI, and ICAM systems
  • Ensure proper event logging across systems and real-time monitoring through Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) systems
  • Conduct system audits, vulnerability scans, and threat assessments to detect anomalies and identify potential risks
  • Lead incident response activities and investigate security breaches to identify vulnerabilities and assess damage
  • Provide intelligence reports, including malware reverse engineering findings and forensic analyses, to support remediation efforts
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, vulnerabilities, exploits, and hacker techniques; provide reports and briefings to leadership
  • Train staff on cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices
  • Oversee the implementation of security protocols and ensure compliance across systems. 
Required Qualifications
  • Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Minimum of 2 yrs, Defense Information for System Security (DISS) experience and classification markings experience
