Network Engineer III
Salary Range: $97,000 to $112,000 per year
Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a Network Engineer III to serve as a Senior Network Engineer at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC), Presidio of Monterey, CA. This role focuses on wired and wireless performance, optimization, and security across the network infrastructure.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and optimize wired and wireless network performance.
• Implement network security controls and conduct advanced troubleshooting.
• Manage IT projects related to network deployment, upgrades, and configuration.
• Administer Palo Alto Networks firewall policy, content management, PAN-OS, and threat monitoring.
• Deploy, configure, and manage HPE Aruba (or equivalent) wireless networks.
• Manage and troubleshoot the network access control system (Aruba ClearPass or equivalent).
Required Qualifications
• AA/AS in a related discipline from an accredited college or university, OR 3+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Active IAT Level II certification (one of: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification.
• CCNA or CCNP, or equivalent computing environment certification (7 years documented experience may substitute).
• Advanced experience managing Palo Alto Networks firewall policy, PAN-OS, and threat monitoring/detection.
• Advanced wireless network deployment and management experience (HPE Aruba, Extreme Networks, or Cisco).
• Advanced experience with NAC systems (Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE).
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Desired Qualifications
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Palo Alto Networks PCNSE.
• Prior DoD or Army enterprise network experience.
• Active Secret clearance (a plus, not required).
