Network Engineer II
Salary Range: $90,000 to $103,000 per year
Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a Network Engineer II to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. This role monitors, tests, and analyzes all elements of the network facilities and supports planning, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the network.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
• Monitor, test, and analyze the network infrastructure.
• Plan, install, and maintain network components, including after-hours work as required.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, switching, and wireless issues.
• Support firewall, wireless, and NAC operations across Palo Alto, Extreme/Aruba, and ClearPass/ISE.
• Document configurations and changes in the ITSM platform.
Required Qualifications
• AA/AS in a related discipline from an accredited college or university, OR 3+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of progressive computer system/network engineering experience, including 2+ years of specialized experience.
• Active IAT Level II certification (one of: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification.
• CCNA or equivalent (3 years documented experience may substitute).
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks, Extreme Networks, HPE Aruba (or equivalent), and ClearPass (or Cisco ISE).
• Wireless network deployment, implementation, configuration, and management experience.
• NAC management, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience.
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Desired Qualifications
• CCNP or equivalent.
• Prior DoD or Army enterprise network experience.
• Active Secret clearance (a plus, not required).
