• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the paint line team to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
  • Set production targets and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to paint line staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, ensuring proper functioning and addressing any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Monitor paint application processes to maintain quality standards and minimize defects or rework.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production planning and quality assurance, to optimize workflow and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and material usage.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and communicate performance metrics to management as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5 years) working in an industrial paint line or similar manufacturing environment, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of paint line processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Preferred experience with liquid base paints, epoxy, enamel, urethane etc.
  • Preferred experience with Graco 2K proportioner.
  • Preferred experience in conventional HVLP and electrostatic spray equipment.
  • Preferred experience with industrial pretreatment wash systems. (how they function, bath monitoring etc.
  • Understanding how to use gauges for things such as wet film thickness, dry film thickness, adhesion, gloss, etc.
