To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and hands on Maintenance Technician.
This position is a day shift - Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and half day Saturday's as needed. Hourly rate is $25.00 - $29.00 per hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the maintenance manager:
- Assess equipment repair priorities, scheduled maintenance requirements, parts needs, facility needs and completion targets
- Assist with using diagnostic equipment to trouble shoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on various trucks, tractors, trailers
- Provide support and advice with repairs both major and minor
- Ensure repairs and maintenance are performed to standard specifications
- Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
- Deliver ideas and make recommendations on shop and process improvements
- Interact with the welding department for repairs and improvements
- Interact with purchasing department on parts orders and delivery
- Promote active safety culture by supporting HSE program and policy requirements
- Adhere to company policies, processes and procedures
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
- Other assigned duties as may be required to meet operational objectives

Education and Experience:
- Previous experience with trucks, tractors, trailers and heavy equipment maintenance
- Proven mechanical and diagnostic skills; preference will be given to candidates with 5+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical maintenance
- Ability to set up and operate all machines common to the trade and ability to operate equipment such as milling machine, drill press, etc.
- Superior time management and organizational skills in order to prioritize critical tasks in a high volume and busy environment
