To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and safety-oriented Tire Technician. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, this role is responsible for performing tire removal, installation and maintenance on our commercial fleet while carrying out proper repair procedures. The ideal candidate will be highly safety focused, knowledgeable in all aspects of tire maintenance, and feel strongly about providing the best service to our team.
This is a Monday through Friday afternoon shift, from 3 PM to 12 AM, with the potential for over time and half day Saturday's if needed. The starting hourly rate is $25-30 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise vehicles, using hydraulic jacks.
- Unbolt and remove wheels from vehicles, using lug wrenches or other hand or power tools.
- Dismount and repair tires as required
- Remove and replace tire rim assemblies on trucks and trailers
- Clean rims, drums, hubs prior to tire and rim install
- Remount wheels and rims onto vehicles
- Manage tire and rim inventories conducting weekly inventory counts
- Organize tire and rims according to type and size
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times including proper PPE use
- Work with shop supervisors to identify needs regarding tire replacements on units
- General shop clean up as required

- Minimum of 1 year of tire technician (on trucks) experience is required
